Anand Channar

Anand Channar is one of the most senior and well-established Indian artists working in the Middle East today. With both a successful graphics and advertising company and an art gallery to his name, the energetic Anand has lately returned to full time painting. His vibrant and expressive mixed-media works celebrate his unique and distinctive ethnic heritage, which has had the single greatest impact on his output. A prolific artist, he enjoys experimenting with mixed media on canvas, metals, wood and many other surfaces, often achieving 'wonderful and surprising results'. Anand lives and works in Dubai and has exhibited his paintings in Bombay, Kerala and Dubai. More than 400 of his original paintings are in the collection of individuals, corporations and art galleries.
