Andre Berry

Andre Berry is drawn to shape and form both in the built and natural environments. In any streetscape or landscape he finds his eye naturally focuses on the detail and the juxtaposition of features, which his camera helps him to extract and resolve for appreciation in their own right. Working through the medium of digital photography (although he doesn't necessarily consider himself to be a photographer), he uses 'as shot' images, cropping and applying 'dry brush' or other digital effects to emphasise the strongly graphical elements of his imagery; encouraging a closer consideration of the most mundane and utilitarian features, whose qualities are all too frequently overlooked.
