Andrew Vaughan

Based in Chester, Andrew Vaughan gained a degee in Fine Art Painting from Loughborough College of Art and Design, and a PGCE in Art and Design from the University of Central England in Birmingham. Andrew's work is about the natural landscape and making a response to what's around you - by capturing the mood and atmosphere of a certain place. He travels around the countryside with his sketchbook, finding particular inspiration in the scenery of North Wales and Cornwall. Colour and mark-making are essential to his paintings, which are produced from his sketches, back in his studio. Andrew has held a number of artist residencies, and has exhibited extensively - his work features in both corporate and private collections in the UK and Germany. He is also a member of the National Acrylic Painters Association (NAPA).
