Creating impactful images has always been one of Gareth Hughes' creative goals, and having worked as a designer and lecturer for over twenty years has enabled him to look at objects in a new light. Gareth uses light and movement to create original images from everyday objects. New camera techniques and digital manipulation are used to create interesting images, rather than relying on the computer to generate, manipulate and distort. He explains; 'This keeps the purity of the object intact whilst creating new viewpoints and landscapes. With the prevalence of digital manipulation in image creation today, the camera can be used in different ways'.
