Nigel Downer

Nigel has had a long career as a professional photographer which included working as a lecturer in the subject, teaching in a number of colleges in the UK. At one time he held the position of Head of Photography and Digital Media at a college in London.

Although retired from full-time teaching, Nigel continues to expand his freelance career alongside part-time teaching, in the field of all aspects of nature and the natural environment. Specialising in close-up and macro photography, the combination of creative lighting, colour, fine detail and design is characteristic of his work.

Over the years, Nigel has developed an impressive collection of images with his work being represented in numerous publications worldwide.
