Stella Hidden
Artist Stella Hidden studied at Hereford College of Art for 6 years, continuing with 20th Century Art History in The Open University. Since then, she has worked in 3D, relief and 2D, where movement of suspended colour is of prime importance to her work. Her paintings are an excursion of unexpected discovery from the very first mark until completing a painting many months later. The process of developing and evolving the image incorporates the musical elements of rhythm, vibration, and resonance of sound and colour. This embraces not only technique, but also layers of thinking, feeling and the contemplation of the work in progress - visions without objects requiring a response entirely dependent on the language of colour, rhythm and form.
