Based in Manchester, Michelle Nriapia works in mixed media and is constantly evolving her artistic style. Her interests lie in the urban environment and its textures, marks and colours. From walking through the city, Michelle's observations of buildings, structures and surfaces led to the development of this theme in her work. She is particularly interested in the impact these have on the urban environment as a whole, which at first glance appear to destroy the beauty of the city, but have the opposite effect when examined more closely. Michelle uses a variety of media to enhance her compositions, bringing to life the richness and diversity of the ever-changing urban scene.
